About Robert Cooper
Beginning his railroad career in 1997 as a trackman on the main lines with CSX Transportation, Robert Cooper quickly demonstrated exceptional knowledge, managerial ability, and appropriate skills to effectively plan and execute work, all while conforming to current FRA (Federal Railroad Association) standards. He rose to the rank of Production Foreman and traveled extensively across the United States supervising production rail, tie, and surfacing teams which consisted of anywhere between ten and eighty men.
With over twelve years of exceptional hands on experience, Robert Cooper is a FRA Certified Railroad Track Inspector. Robert excels in identifying safety measures, encourages productivity, builds employee teams, affects strong cost controls utilizing outstanding analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills to plan and execute work, all while conforming to current FRA standards. He has a proven base of skills in transportation comprehension and a verifiable track record of impressive accomplishments in leadership roles in railroad Maintenance of Way operations.
As an independent, fully qualified Certified Track Inspector, Robert is able to detect deviations in a client’s track and prescribe appropriate remedial action to correct or safely compensate for those deviations. Robert informs the client of the minimum FRA standards, and provides suggestions on what needs to be done to keep their industry in compliance with existing safety standards. Robert is an independent inspector without affiliation to a railroad contractor; therefore his work is done for the client, with the client, on a consulting basis.
